Multiple sections, multiple patterns
A slice shows you one plane through the crystal lattice. A strung bracelet shows you many, each cut at its own angle through the same parent metal, so the etched patterns differ from bead to bead while remaining recognisably the same material. It is the closest thing to seeing the structure in three dimensions.
Weight
At nearly 60 g this is substantial on the wrist. Iron-nickel is dense, and there is no way to make this quantity of it light.
